Vendor Terms of Service
These terms govern the relationship between you ("Vendor") and JY Store. By registering a seller account, you agree to operate within these guidelines to ensure a safe marketplace for the Sitiawan community.

1. Scope & Definitions
JY Store operates as a Marketplace Service Provider. We provide the infrastructure (website, payment gateway, order system) for transactions between Buyers and Vendors. We are not the manufacturer, supplier, or retailer of the items you list.
2. Account & Security
Eligibility is open to individuals and businesses based in Malaysia.
- Age Requirement You must be at least 18 years old to register.
- Banking You must own a valid bank account with a Malaysian financial institution to receive payouts. The bank account holder name must match your ID/SSM.
- Verification (KYC) To prevent fraud, JY Store may request NRIC (for individuals) or SSM Certificate (for businesses) before releasing high-value withdrawals.
3. Listing Guidelines
Listings must be honest, accurate, and professional. Misleading listings harm the trust of the entire platform.
3.1 Forbidden Practices
- Keyword Spamming: Adding irrelevant brand names (e.g., "iPhone" on a Samsung listing) to manipulate search results.
- Misleading Pricing: Listing an item at RM0.10 (as a "dummy" price) to attract clicks, then asking for more via chat.
- Off-Platform Steering: Directing buyers to WhatsApp, Facebook, or other sites to complete the transaction is strictly prohibited.

4. Fees, Escrow & Payouts
4.1 Fees
JY Store charges a Commission Fee and a Transaction Fee (Payment Gateway) on successful orders. These are deducted automatically from the total order value.
4.2 The Escrow Model
To protect both parties, Buyer payments are held in an "Escrow" state by JY Store.
- Funds Release Funds are released to your Seller Balance only after the Buyer confirms "Order Received" OR after the Auto-Confirm Period (7 days after shipping) expires without dispute.
- Withdrawals You can request a withdrawal to your bank at any time. Processing time is typically 1-3 business days. Minimum withdrawal amount is RM10.00.
5. Logistics (J&T Integration)
We partner with J&T Express for seamless shipping updates.
- Shipping Deadline Standard orders must be shipped within 2 working days. Pre-order items must be shipped within the stated pre-order days (max 30).
- Packing Sellers are responsible for proper packaging (bubble wrap, boxes). JY Store is not liable for damage caused by poor packaging.
6. Returns & Refunds
Buyers have the right to request a return within the JY Guarantee Period (typically 3 days after receipt) for the following reasons:
- Item did not arrive (Non-receipt).
- Item received is incomplete (missing quantity or accessories).
- Item is damaged or physically defective.
- Item received is not as described in the listing.
Change of Mind: Generally, "Change of Mind" returns are not compulsory unless the Seller explicitly agrees to it in their shop policy.
7. Digital Goods Policy
For sellers of e-vouchers, game credits, software keys, and top-ups:
- Validity Guarantee You guarantee that all codes are valid and unused at the moment of delivery.
- Evidence Requirement In a dispute claiming "Invalid Code," the Seller must provide logs or proof from the issuer (e.g., redemption time) showing the code was used after delivery to the buyer.
8. Seller Performance
We monitor seller health to ensure a good experience.
- High Cancellation Rate (Out of Stock).
- Late Shipment Rate (Shipping after deadline).
- Chat rudeness or harassment.
9. Legal & Compliance
9.1 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold JY Store harmless from any claims, damages, or legal costs arising from your products, your violation of laws, or infringement of third-party rights (e.g., selling fake goods).
9.2 Data Privacy (PDPA)
You will receive Buyer data (Name, Address, Phone) solely for the purpose of order fulfilment. You strictly cannot use this data for external marketing, spamming, or selling to third parties, in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
